I'm Russ. I'm probably considered a computer geek since I place major importance on the ability of computers to make life easier and I include the computer with most every part of my life.
(For this photo, I removed the tape holding my glasses together)
My 14 year old daughter, Olivia. She's very intelligent, precocious, determined, and quite a young lady (what Dad wouldn't think that!) While in sixth grade attending an accelerated and prestigious private school, she was working with 9th grade grammar and 8th grade mathmetics. She uses a computer also and in particular, likes her email and looking up concerts she would like to attend. She's been to concerts by Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Cher, and Aaron Carter. She's into clothes and music of all kinds. She recently tried her talents at acting and performed the lead role of her school's Christmas play. She was brilliant in her part which included comedy as well as serious acting. I am very proud of her. And, she's so smart, (how smart is she?) she runs the whole house and certainly makes sure Dad know who's really the boss.

On November 15, 1996, we adopted a precious Shih-Tzu puppy and named him "Chauncy - Widget of Wallace". He's a proud, beautiful, smart dog with brilliantly sparkling eyes.
He's just over seven years old now and here's a picture of him. He's the cutie on the left. (Chauncy's pedigree) Throughout the first 3 years of his life, he had a female dog friend, Missy, shown here on the right. Missy passed away a few years back- see the memorial at the bottom of this page. Though Chauncy does his best to not think about Missy, it is still apparent he wishes she were still around. Periodically, we catch him wondering where she is.

GIZMO and MISSY
On November 1, 1996, a little past 8:00 PM, Gizmo, the older of the two Shih-Tzus pictured above, passed on to doggie heaven. He hadn't been feeling well for quite a few days but we attributed it to the weather change, thinking he simply had a cold. When we came home from eating dinner out, we discovered him on our bedroom floor, barely breathing. When Tere touched him, he recognized her and took his last breathe of air. We were loading him into the car to rush him to the vet when he died in my arms. Whatever actual illness he had apparently caused a heart attack. We know he patiently waited until we got home so he could die in comfort like he enjoyed his life - with his family by his side.
Gizmo was such a good dog. He was never any trouble, though he snored louder than any human I've ever heard. He would follow us wherever we went, happy just being around us. He was quiet, lovable, cuddly and loyal. He had the best temperament you could ask for in a dog. He would wait patiently next to us for attention, some kind words, a pet here or a pet there. He used to lie on his back in hopes one of us would rub his tummy with our feet (which we did often).
He'll always be with us in our hearts and in our thoughts. His permanent resting place is in our patio.
Missy, August 15, 1985 - November 7, 2001, 16 years old when she was put down because of her advancing stages of aging, was the runt of her litter, and barely weighed out (fully wet) at 10 lbs. This breed should be 9-16 lbs. fully grown. Melissa was a proud, little, "watch" dog - no matter where you were, she'd "watch" you - and was afraid of nothing! She'd stand up to a German Shepard any day and bark it to submission. It scared me to no end when she did this, though.
Missy helped me through many sad and difficult times. She seemed to understand just what was happening and sensed when I was unhappy. I will truly miss her companionship. She was cremated and her ashes are kept in a safe and prominent place.
This web page is dedicated to their loving memories - may they rest in peace.
